Table luminaire providing diffused lighting. Base, rod support and diffuser support in die-cast, polished Zamak alloy. Base cover in black injectionmolded PA (Nylon). Injection-molded PC (polycarbonate) opal inner diffuser. Outer diffusers in plissé cloth, transparent PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate), silver or bronze on the inner surface, by vacuum aluminum coating. Injection-molded PC (polycarbonate) upper ring, completely transparent, or transparent brown for the outer bronze diffuser. Electronic dimmer wired on cord for 0-100% light adjustment. FEP/PVC, UV-stabilized transparent power cord, length 1500 mm. Net weight 5.9 kg.

Philippe Starck, born 1949 in Paris, studied at the private academy École Nissim de Camondo in Paris. During the early 1970s he worked for a short time as art director at Pierre Cardin, before establishing his own firm for interior architecture and product design. This step marked the beginning of a highly successful career in both fields: due at least in part to his mastery of self-presentation, he becomes an internationally renowned "star designer" with an overwhelming number of projects and products. He is an instructor at the Domus Academy in Milan in 1986. Together with the property developer John Hitchcox, he co-founded "Yoo" in 1999, a company that uses design, branding and marketing to develop residential, hotel and leisure properties worldwide.Products that might interest you:
